The Schools co‑operative Society
The Schools Co-operative Society co-ordinates a network of educational organisations and provides advice and support to its members. It gives a voice to the rapidly growing co-operative sector within the UK educational system.
Becoming a Co-operative Trust or Co-operative Academy.
If a school or cluster of schools is considering trust or academy status then they should contact the Co-operative College
The Co-operative College, Manchester has worked with Cobbetts to develop a range of models for Co-operative School status. It will provide a school considering Co-operative Trust or Academy status with support to guide them through the process. Further details can be found on the Co-operative College website.
If your school wants to use co-operative values or principles in the school but is not wanting to change its status and wants advice please contact SCS.
